Nowadays Ranveer Singh’s Bollywood career is on peek all because of his films like Gully Boy and Simmba. A report says that Ranveer may be replacing Shah Rukh Khan in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming ‘Don 3’. The Gully Boy director, Zoya has responded to the rumors and calling all such talk as rubbish.
Answering to the questions, Zoya told media “No, no. That’s absolute nonsense.” Shah Rukh already worked in Don and Don 2, yet sources said he had pulled out of Don 3 as same as Rakesh Sharma’s biopic after Zero setbacks. Shah Rukh Khan and movie’s director Farhan Akhtar, did not comment on this issue.
Well, there you have it. It was all false rumors, and it is safe to believe that Shah Rukh Khan is still connected with the franchise. This was a baseless rumor because the source made it seem that Zoya Akhtar was the one helming this project when we already know that the ‘Don’ franchise is a property of Excel Entertainment, a production house which is owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Ranveer has worked with Zoya twice in Bollywood, first in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and now in recent blockbuster ‘Gully Boy.’ Ranveer was acknowledged for his work as a rapper, who rises out of slums of Mumbai to be a big, new voice of the streets in Gully Boy. Ranveer is at currently busy in shooting for his next film, 83, which based on Indian’s World Cup win in 1983. Currently, Ranveer and the rest of the cast are in Dharamshala for the shoot of the film.
Shah Rukh was supposed to start his shoot on Rakesh Sharma biopic, however, as per reports he backed out at the last moment of the project, and as per reports surgical strike fame Vicky Kaushal will step into his shoes, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Nowadays Zoya is enjoying the success of her two recent projects, Which are Gully Boy as well as Amazon prime’s web series Made In Heaven. Zoya already announced the sequel of Made In Heaven.
