Bollywood fame Kangana Ranaut, who was recently seen in Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi, says that if she doesn’t get a National Film Award for her roleplay of Rani Laxmibai in Manikarnika, then it will put up question on their credibility.
By connecting with media on her 32nd birthday on Saturday, Kangana, who has earlier won the National honor for her film Fashion, Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, asked whether she is anticipating another for this film?
She replied, “I feel there are specific things which if you will not consider, then it turns to be disrespectful for that organization itself. So, if me or my film Manikarnika does not win at National film awards, then it will question the honesty of the award ceremony, but if I come across other immeasurable work then, I will be sensible enough to say it’s better than me.”
“I think last year, Tabu Ji gave a marvelous performance in her film Andhadun. I am surprised by what she has done. I think in the upcoming year, it’s going to unveil to more and more people. If there will be a better performance than Manikarnika, I will appreciate that, but I don’t think it will happen.”
Kangana was out of the city recently, for a few days as she was on a spiritual journey with some intense meditation plans. She was on meditation for ten days of silence which also includes staying far away from modern world gadgets.
Discussing her experience, she said, “I am happy to know that my presence was missed. I think media individuals were influenced a ton when I was out of the city. I feel everybody should take some time out for themselves. In our way of life, spirituality was something that we energetically pursued, but in today’s world, many people aware of that.
“They visit life mentors, advisors and therapists for their mental peace; however they don’t have any idea how to work on their inner well being, I might want to encourage people to turn towards spirituality. Prior, I didn’t usually enlighten anybody about it. However, I think spirituality helps people to connect themselves with their internal identity. It improves your stamina, fixation and mental health, which is currently a big issue in the world.
Kangana will be seen in her upcoming film Mental Hai Kya alongside Rajkummar Rao. This film is produced by Ekta Kapoor, under the direction of Prakash Kovelamudi.
