Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Article 15’ on Tuesday. The actor said, in the direction of Anubhav Sinha, this film will be the most relevant and important to Indian cinema. This film is an investigation drama, which features Ayushmann Khurrana as a police officer for the first time.
“Wrapped up a film which will become the most relevant and important film of Indian cinema. Thank you @anubhavsinha sir for giving me this gem and also writing the most realistic cop role ever. #Article15,” Ayushmann wrote on Twitter.
He additionally shared a 3D figure model of him in his cop avatar and thanking the entire cast and crew of the film. This was the first time of Sinha and Khurrana together. After the box office success of Badhaai Ho and ‘Andhadhun’ last year. Anubhav also directed and produced the Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Panu’s starrer Mulk.
Speaking about his upcoming film, Anubhav Sinha said, “It is an investigative drama where the audience too, is an accused party. It is a very challenging film that needed an extraordinary actor like Ayushmann. Delighted to have him on board with an explosive bundle of such talented and acclaimed actors,”
Earlier Ayushmann expressed his excitement by talking about the film; he said, “I’m always intrigued by the socio-political situation of our country. We hardly see films which present the situation in an unbiased way. And it will be an absolute pleasure to work with him (Anubhav) on Article 15.”
Article 15 additionally stars Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Zeeshan Ayub. In the production of Benaras Media Works, the film went on floors from March 1 in Lucknow.
